Hi my lovely dolls! Today’s post is one that is super dear to my heart. My sweet Madeline Jae turned 6 months recently & I was able to capture the moment just in the nik of time as the old saying goes. For those of you who have followed me on Instagram you know how obsessed I became with Swans when I was pregnant. Even though at the time I was not sure that I was having a baby girl I had already picked out Swans for a girl’s theme for her nursery & first birthday prior to her arrival.
As my sweet Madeline’s birthday was approaching I reached out to my favorite baker in Hopkinsville, KY where I hosted my daughter’s unicorn themed birthday years ago. You can see how Milani’s Unicorn themed birthday turned out here: Glam Unicorn Themed Birthday as well as all of the beautiful treats Joelle’s Bakery created. I knew Joelle’s Bakery would be able to create exactly what I had in mind and she did just that.
While browsing on Pinterest for inspiration on Swan themed 1/2 birthday cakes I did not come across any and so I decided to design my own along with Joelle the talented baker of course! She got my EXACT vision down to the the little gold crown, I was super impressed as usual. Later that day I brought the cake home and would attempt to DIY some pictures of Madeline later that night so I placed the cake on the stove walked away to grab something in my bedroom. When suddenly…Dun, Dun, Dun…my 2 yr old got a hold of the cake and ate the Swan’s head off LOL.
Needless to say I was upset that I would have to order another 1/2 Birthday Swan Cake BUT it turned out just as beautiful as the first. It actually worked out that my 2 yr old ate the swan cake the first time because I was unable to find a smash cake photographer in time but was able to do so by the time the next cake would be ready. 🙂

I searched on Facebook and came across the absolute best Smash Cake Photographer in Fort Campbell and we booked the date and here’s the turnout!
